About JCH Safety
We provide professional health and safety consultancy and fire risk assessments for organisations from Land’s End to Manchester. Based in Warwickshire and working regularly in Cornwall, our team supports clients across the Midlands, the South West, and beyond with practical advice shaped around their premises, people, and activities.
Specialist advice with a personal approach
JCH Safety is an independent consultancy established in 2014. The firm is led by a Chartered health and safety practitioner and registered fire risk assessor with more than 20 years’ experience.
We ensure that our clients deal directly with an experienced practitioner who takes time to understand how their organisation works. Whether the task is a fire risk assessment for one building or ongoing health and safety support across several sites, our goal is to provide clear findings, proportionate recommendations, and a practical route to action.
What we do
We help organisations identify risks, meet their responsibilities, and make informed decisions about the safety of their workplaces and buildings. Our services include:
- Fire risk assessments and fire safety advice
- Health and safety audits and inspections
- Workplace risk assessments, policies, and safe systems of work
- Retained competent person support
- Advice on evacuation arrangements and emergency planning
- Support with contractor management and construction or refurbishment work
- Health and safety and fire safety training
Work can be arranged as a one-off project or as continuing support, according to the needs of your organisation.
Who we work with
We support schools, academies, and multi-academy trusts, alongside businesses in sectors including warehousing, logistics, offices, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, and construction. Churches, charities, and community venues also benefit from advice that reflects how their buildings are used, as do pubs and restaurants.
We understand that a small business preparing its first set of risk assessments needs a different approach from a trust managing several schools or a company operating multiple premises. We tailor the scope of our work and explain our findings in terms that clients can use to grow and develop.
From Cornwall to Manchester
Our Warwickshire base provides easy access to clients across Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, and the wider Midlands. Meanwhile, our growing presence in Cornwall extends in-person services across West Cornwall and the wider South West.
We also undertake work across England, including London, Oxford, and Bristol. For organisations with premises in more than one location, this wider reach provides a consistent approach to assessments, audits, and advice. Remote support and online training are available where appropriate, while work that requires a site visit is always carried out in person. We love to meet new people and build effective business relationships you can rely on.
Professional competence
Our work is led by a Chartered health and safety practitioner and an NFRAR Registered Fire Risk Assessor with more than 20 years’ experience. Our professional memberships also include the Institution of Fire Engineers and the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management.
This expertise is backed by practical experience across education, commercial premises, warehousing, and other working environments. We provide clear, proportionate advice focused on the risks and decisions that matter at each site.
