Health & Safety Consultant

Coventry, UK

We’re looking for people that can demonstrate the following attributes:

More about the role and what we need from you,

  • Working on a freelance, ad-hoc basis.
  • Travel to customers sites, using own vehicle, and manage daily workloads set by the office, in line with customer expectations.
  • Based mainly in the West Midlands, we are not looking for candidates to stay away from home.
  • Carry out site inspections, risk assessments and review of client documentation. This could be Fire, Disability Access and Health and Safety.
  • Produce risk assessment/ reports using Word and Excel, or the company fire safety software, in a timely manner with attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify remedial actions and recommendations.
  • Diplomacy skills – ability to challenge and educate clients in a professional and respectful manner.
  • A desire to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Use of own mobile device with data is essential.
  • Own insurance.
Qualifications:
 
  • NEBOSH Qualifications (General / Fire / Construction etc.)
  • NVQ Level 5 or above (Nice to have but not essential)
  • NEBOSH Diploma (Nice to have but not essential)
  • Fire Risk Assessor Training
  • Other relevant safety qualifications
Experience
 
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate valid, relevant experience in one or more of our desired sectors. Consultancy experience is essential. We are looking for candidates with membership(s) of relevant professional bodies.
