Tell me about JCH Safety….

JCH Safety is an occupational safety and health consultancy & fire risk assessment business based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. It is owned and managed by Jonathan Hegarty, who is a Chartered Occupational Safety and Health Practitioner & third party accredited Fire Risk Assessor. These two distinct safety disciples work well together and allow a deep understanding of the built environment and workplace design. Jonathan works across the Midlands in cities such as Birmingham,  Coventry, Leicester and Nottingham providing competent safety consultancy to a variety of businesses; schools, academies and colleges; distribution centres and warehouse operations; and the hospitality and worship sectors. Jonathan established JCH Safety to help growing businesses and organisations to manage safety and fire risk in their workplaces. We are committed to making properties safe workplaces.

Each year there are thousands of accidents and workplace incidents which result in serious injuries and approximately 150 unnecessary deaths in the UK. Poor safety leads to terrible accidents and to life changing events for the victim, their families and to business owners. Many accidents can be avoided and JCH Safety is committed to making safety better through working with business owners and management providing consultancy, developing management systems and training. In addition to accidents, people suffer from occupational diseases such as Asbestosis, back injuries and hearing impairment among a range of other occupational diseases. Again, many of these can and should be avoided. We can help you with this also.

JCH Safety specialises in working with small to medium sized enterprises across Coventry, Warwickshire and the Midlands, who do not tend to have full time health and safety managers in place, to establish effective health and safety management systems. We have also became well known for working with growing multi-academy trusts (MATs) helping them to expand their organisations through due diligence as schools join their trusts, and to develop common management systems across their MAT. We provide our clients with two options either a fixed term 1 year retained service which is bespoke designed for our clients needs, or a flexible ad hoc service where clients contract us by the hour or day. For some organisations, we provide both health and safety consultancy & retained fire safety risk assessment services. Our work product is designed to help businesses protect the health of their staff and to protect business owners from being prosecuted. Our business adds value to companies by making staff feel safe, valued and protected. Often, our guidance helps businesses to improve productivity through improvements to layout, storage and working practices. This builds reputation, brand and profits for my clients. We work with your business to make it safer. Safe business is good business.
